NTC - 25th Anniversary of NTC NTC Compound, BIR Road, East Triangle, Diliman, Quezon
City July 19-23, 2004

Message from NTC Commissioner Ronald
Olivar Solis:
Turning twenty-five at a time when growth
and development in our sector move at an unprecedented pace underscores
the utmost need for the National Telecommunications Commission to
strengthen its capability in serving the Filipino people.
Keeping abreast of trends and upgrading our capacities because even more
imperative as the Filipino of today is more aggressive, liberal and
prompt in adapting and accepting what the technology market has to offer
to make life easier and more pleasurable.
As we then celebrate our 25th year, and look forward to more fruitful
years for the NTC, allow me to thank the current national leadership, our
stakeholders, fellow government workers, the private sector and the
citizenry for their continuing support, and pledge as well our commitment
to a truly dedicated, honest and responsive public service.
Let us together move ahead with the fervent hope that we shall be able to
respond to the needs of the rapidly changing times as well as take on the
challenges, as they come, with equanimity and confidence and, most
importantly, succeed in attaining our vision of a "National
Telecommunications Commission that is a dynamic and transparent regulatory
agency that will elevate the Philippines as a leading ICT-driven economy
in Asia."
